The minimum we need to run the app: your email address, your name if you choose to share it, and the data you create while using Cadence — your cycles, goals, daily logs, weekly scores, and review reflections. That's it. No ad trackers, no third-party analytics scripts following you around.
To run Cadence for you: signing you in, showing your dashboard, calculating your scores, and occasionally emailing you about your account or the service. Your goal and habit data is personal, and we treat it that way — it's used to power your own tracking and nothing else.
We don't sell your data. We don't rent it, trade it, or share it with advertisers. We don't mine your goals to build a profile of you. The only people who can see your goals and logs are you and, when strictly necessary to fix a problem, us.
Your data is stored on our servers and protected with standard security practices, including encrypted passwords and encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the surface area small: less data collected means less data at risk.
Delete your account and your data is deleted with it — email, goals, logs, reviews, all of it. Gone from the live database, and cycled out of backups on their normal schedule.
If anything here is unclear, ask. Privacy policies shouldn't need a lawyer to decode — and if this one ever changes, we'll post the update here.
